Crate Assembler: responsible for building, assembling, and preparing custom wood crates and packaging solutions to protect products for shipping and storage. Requires the safe use of hand tools, and basic measuring equipment while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble wood crates, boxes, and pallets according to specifications and blueprints.
- Fasten materials using hand tools (Hammer, nails, screws, staple gun, and Screw Driver).
- Read and interpret basic work orders, drawings, or packing instructions.
- Inspect finished crates to ensure quality and structural integrity.
- Load, unload, and move materials within the facility.
- Assist with packaging products into crates securely and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices.
- Support team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or woodworking is a plus Ability to use basic hand tools.
- Basic math and measurement skills (tape measure proficiency).
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality Physical Requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Comfortable working in a warehouse or shop environment (heat, dust, noise) Industrial/warehouse setting.
- Exposure to wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
Schedule: Full-time/overtime as needed.
